This was cheap, bought it, no manual, no functioning devices. Relying on iZotope Relay and Neutron 5 Visual Mixer instead for now.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties getting DCA 8 to work. I understand how frustrating this can be, and I’ll do my best to help you resolve the issue.
Just as a reminder, there is a small Help button on the DCA 8 FADER. It opens the complete user manual directly, available in English, French, and German, where the workflow is explained step by step.
Before releasing any device, everything is thoroughly tested by a group of around fifteen beta testers on different systems and platforms. So far, no general compatibility issues have been reported, including in demanding environments such as 24/7 web radio broadcasting setups.
It’s possible there may be some misunderstanding about how the pack works. To clarify, the pack includes two different devices:
• DCA 8 SWITCH: this must be inserted on each track you want to control (including return tracks and the master, if needed),
• DCA 8 FADER: this should be inserted only once on the track of your choice. This device is responsible for controlling all the DCA 8 SWITCH instances.
Please double-check this setup and try again while carefully following the manual.
If the issue persists, feel free to send me more details about your configuration (Ableton Live version, operating system, and session type), and I’ll be happy to assist you further.
